your first visit

During your first visit, you will have an examination of your oral health. This will include:

• Review of your medical history
• Oral cancer screening
• Periodontal evaluation (checking for gum disease)
• Diagnostic digital x-rays (to detect any cavities or broken fillings)

After all your oral health information is collected, your dental condition will be discussed. For patients without gum disease, a cleaning can be done at the same visit. For those patients in need of more dental care, treatment options will be given and we will help you choose the treatment that best fits you.
